Re-Inventing The Square, Daily Sketches

A series of daily (or so I try) sketches around the never tired topic of the square. Inspired by an approach (you may call it habit) my first boss' Anton Stankowski (I worked in his studio as an intern in 1990) developed: sketching geometry ideas every day, every evening, each week of every year. Believe me friends: it is extremely challengig to keep up such a regime and I mostly fail. But it is amazing to see what body of work one can output this way.
This last one is actually not my work, but my elder daughter's. She was 4 years old at that point and she kept complaining, that when we sat down at the kitchen table to draw, papa would only draw squares, squares, squares. Good point, but I couldn't and can't lose the habit. Once I asked her to help me and draw a square in my sketchbook. This is what she did, and the fact that it is not really a square I take as an act of youth rebellion …
